Realizing how valuable it could be if a prospect could schedule a meeting at the end of a survey, let me show you how you could make it very easy for customers to schedule a meeting using FreeBusy with TypeForm.

  1. TypeForm lets you customize the experience for the customer once they reach the end of the survey. To configure these settings, click on the '+' icon in the Endings section as shown

  2. To enable users to schedule a meeting, you could choose from one of the two configurations:

    1. Using TypeForm Ending as a Thank You Page

    2. Using Custom Thank You Webpage

Let's look at both the options and you could opt for what suits you best.

a. Using TypeForm Ending as a Thank You Page
(Scheduling through redirecting to a new tab)

You can choose to have a very minimalistic thank you page with no other elements but just a thank you message. To use FreeBusy with the message:

  • Step 1: Draft a good thank you message

  • Step 2: Toggle 'OFF' the Button option and Social Buttons option

  • Step 3: Select a part of the message that you would like to hyperlink

  • Step 4: Paste the FreeBusy template link you would like to use for scheduling

Alternatively, you can choose to prompt the user to take an action by clicking a button that is displayed with the relevant message.

  • Step 1: Toggle 'ON' the Button Option

  • Step 2: Draft a good thank you message with a prompt to click the button

  • Step 3: Edit the text on the button

  • Step 4: Toggle 'ON' the Button Link option

  • Step 5: Paste the FreeBusy template link you would like to use for scheduling

b. Using Custom Thank You Page
(Native Scheduling Experience)

By using this option you can create your own styled and branded webpage and have the capabilities to use a native scheduling experience by using FreeBusy widgets.

  • Step 1: On the right sidebar, click on the gear icon

  • Step 2: Toggle 'ON' for the Redirect on Completion option

  • Step 3: Paste the URL of the custom webpage that you would like to use

Now as a final step for using FreeBusy with a custom webpage, you would have to integrate the FreeBusy widget into the custom webpage:

  • Go to the event template on your FreeBusy page and if you click on the dropdown next to the copy link button on the event template, then it gives you an option to Add to Website.

  • The FreeBusy widget can be used in three configurations as shown and it can be further customized to match the look and feel of your custom thank you page. You can select the option that works for you.

  • Once you have selected the option and click the Copy Embed Code button and the copied block of code can be sent to the developer to add it to the custom thank you webpage.

And that's it! You would now be able to give your users a much more native experience to schedule appointments through your own thank you page

If you use WordPress to create a custom webpage and need assistance to embed the code, you can refer to this short guide to add FreeBusy to a WordPress site.
