It can be an extremely valuable opportunity if a prospect could schedule a meeting at the end of a survey. So let us see how you could make it very easy for customers to pick a time and book an appointment with your team using FreeBusy with Qualtrics.

  1. Qualtrics lets you customize the experience for the customer once they reach the end of the survey. To configure these settings, scroll to the bottom of the survey builder and click the 'End of Survey' box

  2. To enable users to schedule a meeting, you could choose from one of the two configurations:

    1. Using Qualtrics Ending as a Thank You Page

    2. Using Custom Thank You Webpage

Let's look at both the options and you could opt for what suits you best.

a. Using Qualtrics Ending as a Thank You Page
(Scheduling through redirecting to a new tab)

With this option, Qualtrics lets you have a very simple ending of the survey with not a lot of elements but just a thank you message.

To use FreeBusy with the Thank you message:

  • Step 1: Under Messaging on left sidebar, click the dropdown and select Custom

  • Step 2: Click 'Load a saved Message' and hover over the library to save in

  • Step 3: Click New Message and draft a nice thank you message

  • Step 4: Select a part of the message that you would like to hyperlink

  • Step 5: Paste the FreeBusy template link to be used for scheduling

And once you publish it, the user can click on the 'click here' text and be redirected to the scheduling link

b. Using Custom Thank You Page
(Native Scheduling Experience)

By using this option you can create your own styled and branded webpage and have the capabilities to use a native scheduling experience by using FreeBusy widgets.

  • Step 1: Under Messaging on left sidebar, click the dropdown and select Redirect to URL

  • Step 2: Paste the URL of the custom webpage that you would like to use

Now as a final step for using FreeBusy with a custom webpage, you would have to integrate the FreeBusy widget into the custom webpage:

  • Go to the event template on your FreeBusy page and if you click on the dropdown next to the copy link button on the event template, then it gives you an option to Add to Website.

  • The FreeBusy widget can be used in three configurations as shown and it can be further customized to match the look and feel of your custom thank you page. You can select the option that works for you.

  • Once you have selected the option and click the Copy Embed Code button and the copied block of code can be sent to the developer to add it to the custom thank you webpage.

And that's it! You would now be able to give your users a much more native experience to schedule appointments through your own thank you page

If you use WordPress to create a custom webpage and need assistance to embed the code, you can refer to this short guide to add FreeBusy to a WordPress site.
